Joanne’s connection to the water was a defining part of her life. Having lost her own mother at the age of 12 to breast cancer, swimming was always a source of strength from her early days with the Dartmouth Crusaders to her time at Acadia University.
Joanne believed in the importance of giving back to others and the community, she loved Brigadoon and the transformational effect of attending camp that allows children to meet their challenges head-on, overcome them, and become the best possible version of themselves.
Thank you for honoring her by making a gift to Brigadoon.
