Welcome to Carolane Pitre's Personal Page
Two years ago, my life changed in an instant. On June 30, 2022, a cycling accident left me with a broken shoulder and a traumatic brain injury. As a lifelong swimmer, I suddenly had to relearn the very thing that had always come naturally to me. I started from scratch—kicking through the water with one arm, determined to regain my strength. Five months later, I swam 1500m and competed in the Triathlon World Championship in Abu Dhabi. Fifteen months after my accident, I completed my first Ironman and qualified for the 2024 World Championship in Nice.
Now, feeling stronger than ever, I am taking on a new challenge: swimming across the Cumberland Strait from New Brunswick to PEI to raise money for Brigadoon Village. This incredible organization gives children living with health conditions and life challenges the chance to experience the joy of summer camp. I want to prove that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible—while helping extraordinary kids have the chance to feel ordinary. Please join me in supporting this cause!
