Hello and welcome to my BIG SWIM fundraising page. I am back for my THIRD year of this event and can't wait to do the 10km in Aylesford Lake on August 30!

I have enjoyed my training and fundraising so much with the BIG SWIM event that I jumped at the chance to be this year's event director. So I'm double hatted this year—organizer and swimmer!

It's been fun seeing the behind the scenes work that goes into this event, especially with this year's new format offering a 1km, 5km and 10km distances.  I'd be super stoked if you signed up to swim one of the events with me that day but barring that obstacle, I'd love if you could donate to support my efforts to help send kids to summer camp!

I have been a competitive swimmer almost all my life, starting out with the Dartmouth Crusaders, the Yarmouth Whitecaps, Dalhousie Tigers and a handful of masters teams. After having kids, I was out of the water for a little over a decade but have been back at it for a few years now.

I still love to do pool competitions but long distance swimming has become a new passion in the past few years. To be able to do something I love and raise money for the amazing Brigadoon Village is a win-win scenario for me.
