We are fundraising in support of Brigadoon Village! Help us send kids to camp!

Brigadoon's Mission: Brigadoon Village passionately transforms the lives of Atlantic Canadian children and youth living with health conditions and other life challenges to help them reach their full potential through experiential learning, meaningful connections and exceptional fun. 

Brigadoon's Vision: Giving extraordinary kids a chance to be ordinary.

I teamed up with the BIG SWIM group in 2024 as a kayaker, being a food, water and safety person for the swimmer I was following. I was inspired by these athletes who put a lot of time and many months of training in the pool and open water that, in 2025, I started my journey prepare for this amazing event to swim from New Brunswick to PEI. What helped make it more exciting was that I was sharing this adventure with my partner Muna who was my kayaker, for safety, company, and my food flotilla. Though it was canceled due to weather conditions, on the same day Muna and I decided to do a 13km swim from Brackley Beach to Tracadie Beach, and a few others joined us. It was an amazing day to complete something that I never thought I would be able to do, and also to fundraise for this summer camp for kids who would never be able to go to a camp like other kids.

This 2026 year, both Muna and I decided to take on this journey together as swimmers and be a part of this event in helping these kids have an amazing time. What makes this year extra special is because we will be swimming from camp Brigadoon village on lake Aylesford and have these awesome kids there cheer us on!
