How will the funds raised be used to help children and youth?

  • All fundraised dollars will go directly to supporting our campers and ensuring they get a transformational week of worry-free fun!

  • You certainly can dedicate your fundraised dollars to a specific camp. Be sure to email events@brigadoonvillage.org to let us know which camp you’d like to support!




Event Specific

Can someone from Brigadoon attend and speak at my event?

  • As a small team, we are unable to guarantee attendance at an event. However, if you would like a Brigadoon staff member at your event, please contact events@brigadoonvillage.org and we will check with our staff team for availability.

What if I don’t reach my fundraising goal?

  • Your fundraising goal is there to guide you – you are not obligated in any way to reach this goal! You can even change this goal at any time in your Participant Centre! Don’t overthink it – just have fun and reach out to events@brigadoonvillage.org if you need any help.

Will I have assistance from Brigadoon with fundraising?

  • While it is your responsibility to host the fundraiser, we want to see you succeed! We have created a *Third Party Fundraising Guide* which has lots of tips and resources designed to help you thrive.
  • If you need help or have any questions, please contact events@brigadoonvillage.org and we will assist you the best we can.

Will you provide materials to support my fundraiser?

  • Brigadoon Village can provide you with printable documents, our logo, and a pledge sheet to assist you in your fundraising efforts. Contact events@brigadoonvillage.org to request these materials.

I want to fundraise for Brigadoon but can’t find of a good fundraiser idea.

What if I have event expenses to pay for, would those be covered by Brigadoon Village?

  • It is the event organizer’s responsibility to cover all expenses. Brigadoon Village cannot provide funding or reimbursement for event expenses. To keep your event expenses low, we encourage you to come up with a budget before you start fundraising.

Can I use Brigadoon’s logo on my event materials?

  • We are happy to provide you with the In Support Of Brigadoon logo for your use on approved fundraising marketing materials. If you’d like to use our logo, please contact our Events Coordinator, Maddy, at events@brigadoonvillage.org.Untitled (Note Card) (300 × 400 px)2.png

Will you share our fundraiser on your social media?

  • Prior to, during, or following your event, tag us on your event-related social media posts so we can share accordingly!
  • Within our *Third Party Fundraising Guidelines* booklet, there are also lots of tips to help you make the best of your social media event promotion.




Donations and Tax Receipts

Will those donating to my fundraiser be receipted for their donation?

  • All donations made to Brigadoon Village are eligible of a tax receipt if donor information is provided.
  • If donations are made through the fundraising site, donors will be automatically issued a tax receipt.
  • If donations are made offline, please include a complete list of donors and mailing information with the donation so we can issue their receipts. A pledge sheet can be requested from events@brigadoonvillage.org.

My donor did not get a receipt, what should I do?

  • Please contact events@brigadoonvillage.org if your donor did not get their receipt. Please ensure you have as much information about the donor as possible, such as full name, mailing and email address so that we can best assist you.

The information my donors and I provide, will it be safe and not shared?

  • When donating online, your credit card information and personal information is encrypted and completely secure. Furthermore, Brigadoon Village does not share any donor information with outside parties. This information is collected so that we can process donor information and issue a tax receipt as well as provide occasional communications and updates on donor impact.

How will the funds get to Brigadoon Village?

  • All donations made through our fundraising website or our main website go directly to Brigadoon.
  • All offline donations can be made by cheque to Brigadoon Village or by e-transfer to eft@brigadoonvillage.org - be sure to also note the fundraiser and the donor's details. You can also request a pledge sheet from events@brigadoonvillage.org to track multiple offline donations.
